I understand your suggestion as two different parts.
The first is to be able to automatically save readings, something that we can do as an advanced reader option so every reading will instantly go to the journal and if you want you write your thoughts/notes for it later.
The second is for example instead of the screen that know shows the cooldown of how soon you will be able to draw. Maybe it would be better to display the daily card there and when clicked to go back to the daily card screen. 
Please confirm me that I have understood correctly or at least that the options suggested would be good enough for you to see as a feature in the app.
